Amdry 7050 is a chromium-free, self-fluxing alloy that can be used for PTA applications. It has a boron content that improves hardness. It is especially useful when blended with a carbide where a harder matrix is required for erosive wear situations. The lack of chromium substantially reduces carbide dissolution during the fusing process. It has a fused hardness of approximately HRC 50 to 54. Approximate fusing temperature is1050 °C . To finish, use a diamond (preferred) or green SiC wheel.
