Amdry 780 is a nickel-based, chromium-free, braze filler metal with a composition of AWS BNi-3 and AMS 4778 (grade 140F). Its relatively low melting temperature makes it a good candidate when the braze temperature has to be kept low, and its excellent ductility makes it a good choice for applications that undergo stress in service. Braze in vacuum, argon or dry hydrogen atmospheres. Amdry 780 is available as a powder or paste. It is available as a customized tape on request.
