Amdry 9150 is a nickel-based braze filler metal with the composition of AWS BNi-1a an AMS 4776. It responds well to post-braze diffusion heat treatment. The boron in Amdry 9150 diffuses out reducing intermetallic formation, increasing service temperature and corrosion resistance. Use it with many types of steels and nickel-based superalloy substrates. Braze in vacuum, argon or dry hydrogen atmospheres. Joints have excellent strength, corrosion and oxidation resistance, and very good ductility.
