Amdry 400 is a cobalt-based braze filler metal designed to join cobalt-based components. It has a composition similar to AWS BCo-1 and AMS 4783, grade 1040F. Joints of Amdry 400 offer high strength, good ductility, and excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance. Vacuum brazing Amdry 400 is recommended t, but atmospheres of argon, nitrogen and dry hydrogen can also be accomplished. It is available as a powder, but may be purchased in paste or customized tape upon request.
