Metco 1051A was specifically designed to perform in aggressive environments where abrasive wear and impact with moderate corrosion are of concern. Deposits are unique in that they exhibit impact resistance that is 10 to 20 times better than PTA-applied WC-Ni overlays, but with similar abrasion resistance. The fine distribution of the hardphase throughout the deposit is even effective against abrasion from sand-sized particulate. Apply Metco 1051A using laser cladding or PTA.
