Metco 12C is self-fluxing, alloy powder recommended where a hardness of HRC 35 to 40 with a shrink of approximately 20% during fusing. Approximate fusing temperature is 1050 °C. It has sufficient wear resistance and should be used where machinability of the coating is important. Metco 12C can be applied using laser cladding. It is also acceptable for application using PTA or puddle welding. Metco 12C can be finished with carbide tools.
