Metco 15E is a self-fluxing alloy that produces dense, pore-free deposits with a typical hardness of HRC 60 with a shrink of approximately 17% during fusing. Approximate fusing temperature is 993 °C. Deposits have high wear and corrosion resistance. Metco 15E produces relatively smooth surfaces that require very little stock removal after fusing to get a clean surface. Metco 15E can be applied using laser cladding. It is also acceptable for application using PTA or puddle welding.
