Metco 16C-NS is a self-fluxing alloy that produces corrosion-resistant deposits against a variety of acids and aqueous media. It can be applied much thicker than many self-fluxing alloys with better crack resistance. It is a good choice for coatings thicker than 1.5 mm (0.06 in) or for thinner coatings on complex geometries. Metco 16C-NS has an approximate fused hardness of HRC 58 to 62. Apply using laser cladding; application via PTA or puddle welding is also possible.
