Metco 50201A is a tungsten titanium carbide (WTiC) powder that can be blended with matrix alloys of nickel, cobalt or iron for application using laser cladding, PTA, GMAW or GTAW. It has very good chemical stability in highly alloyed nickel and iron matrix materials and with less dissolution than tungsten carbide. It is 30% to 40% lighter than tungsten carbide, so it is an excellent choice for weight sensitive applications. Deposits are corrosion resistant in alkaline media and non-magnetic.
