Metco 51060A is a powder blend of spherical cast tungsten carbide (CTC-S) and a NiCrBSiFe matrix. It is designed for laser cladding and can be chosen when high hardness, resistance to slurry erosion and good impact resistance is needed. The CTC-S hardphase results in a fine non-acicular structure with superior hardness compared to conventional fused and crushed tungsten carbide. The high apparent density and improved flow raise the amount of hardphase present in the clad deposit.
