Metco 8100 is a wire product with a composition similar to Stellite 1. It is designed to be applied using arc welding processes such as GMAW and GTAW. Choose Metco 8100 when severe abrasion resistance or low-angle erosion resistance is required combined with good corrosion resistance. It maintains its hardness at temperatures up to 760 °C (1400 °F) in abrasion or erosion applications. It works well in saltwater but is not the best choice for pitting or crevice corrosion.
